Participate in fun activities with client to boost mood, improve overall memory, and provide light entertainment.
Check clients vitals such as temperature, blood pressure, oxygen, and blood sugar levels. Record results in a log book.
Utilize therapeutic communication, empathy and active listening skills to encourage and develop a positive relationship, emotional support, and companionship with client.
Support client with physical activities to accomplish and maintain quality of life, sustain needs, and ambulation.
Support activities of daily living, such as hygiene needs of bathing, dressing, denture care and personal grooming.
Cook and prepare meals and assist patient with eating tasks to support healthy nutrition.
Record status and duties completed in logbooks for clients family.
Provide compassionate and patient-focused care to cultivate well-being.
Assist client to bathroom to ambulate from wheel chair to toilet and support bladder and bowel relief requirements.
Assist client with self-administered medications, inhaler, and nasal sprays.
Launder items, change sheets and make bed to keep clients bedroom clean.
Light housecleaning to maintain a clean environment in kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room.
