  • Second in command of the Facilities Department. Responsibilities include design, research and scheduling for several projects, ordering of parts, and communicating and scheduling with college administrators, contractors, co-workers, and other faculty members on developments. Other duties of the position are the department safety coordinator, bio waste disposal, maintaining of the campus’s electrical utilities, campus area lighting, maintain HVAC units and supervise repairs, upgrading of lighting from incandescent lighting to fluorescent lighting or LED, layout and supervise the installation of electrical circuits, verify the installation of materials in all construction projects to maintain the safety and longevity of the Kingman campus projects, layout and install campus Audio/Video equipment, and all other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager.   • Worked with the local electrical utility company, manufacturer, and suppliers for a major retrofit of LED lighting in the Welding Training Center. Project was completed in March of 2015. Helped facilitate the relocating of many faculty offices and classrooms in preparation of demolition of four buildings. Worked with the contracted electrical engineer and architect firm in the electrical design of a major remodel of a main building and the construction of a new building both completed in January of 2017. Designed, coordinated, and constructed the main server room for the entire college complete with back-up 16 kVA generator. Designed the electrical and spec’d out the lighting to be used in the complete overhaul of a building to expand the welding program. Along with many other remodeling and updating projects campus wide.

I also core drilled, piped, wired, and activated the exhaust fans, and installed the obstruction lighting for helicopters. Completed final troubleshooting and change requests made by the doctors and specialists. Additional duties included daily inventory of company equipment. 14 months total work.
