As a substitute teacher, I follow lesson plans to keep students on track with their learning. I encourage students to participate and stay engaged in class. When the regular teacher is away, I give lessons, explain assignments, and answer students' questions. I also use technology to make learning more interesting and helpful across grade levels.

I check if students understand the material, tanto en inglés como en Español , by asking questions and using simple assessments. I work with the head teacher to make sure I follow their priorities and lesson plans. I manage the classroom to keep it safe and focused, and I supervise students during recess, break times, and dismissal to prevent any issues.

I take attendance, keep records, and make sure all students have the materials they need. I also support students who learn in different ways, so that everyone has a fair chance to succeed. My goal is to create a positive learning experience and keep the classroom running smoothly while the teacher is away.

I volunteered with the PTA, PTO, coordinated the 8th-grade dinner and dance, served as a classroom assistant, chaperoned, and organized multicultural fundraising events across different grade levels.
