I am a data analytics professional with over 12 years of experience in the field. In my previous position, I managed a team of 8 data analysts responsible for delivering data-driven solutions that provided valuable business insights for a retail company.
Over my 8 years of working in the automotive sector, I have successfully managed and developed innovative data projects that utilized big data and machine learning technologies.
My career goal is to continue creating data-driven strategies and to leverage my skills in complex business problem solutions, data project management, team management, business analytics, and machine learning.
My personal motto, which is from Alvin Toffler, the futurist, is "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.".
In my role as the Data Analytics Lead, I managed Operation, Supply, and Safety data teams, which were responsible for creating end-to-end processes for analytics reports. I worked collaboratively with stakeholders to identify business needs, establish objectives, and define success metrics. I also developed strategies to automate manual processes related to data collection and analysis.
As part of the company's agile transformation, I took on the role of IT Product Owner in addition to my existing role as a data scientist. With over 10 years of experience in the data field, I was well-equipped to handle this new responsibility.
As IT Product Owner, my key responsibilities included leveraging agile methodologies to move the development lifecycle quickly from prototyping to enterprise-quality testing and final implementation for all IT projects of the Purchasing Department.
As part of the agile transformation structure, I took on the roles of Data Scientist and Digital Transformation Expert. I led and developed data projects for the Connectivity, Purchasing, and HR squads, which included end-to-end processes such as processing unstructured/structured big data and implementing machine learning algorithms.
The 'In Car Assistant Project', which was supported by TUBITAK, was a great example of data science implementations in the company. The project involved Connectivity Big Data Scaling on Azure, Driver Clustering, and Route Prediction data projects. You can find one of the press reflections at the link below.

During my time with the Digital Transformation Team, my goal was to uncover the potential of the company in the field of data science, expand the external ecosystem, and ensure that data science projects were properly addressed in the context of business.
Some of my primary responsibilities included receiving data science projects and transferring them to the data science team during the execution phase, as well as tracking the project portfolio and team availability plan in the data science area.
I designed project standards such as acceptance, development, and go-live specifically tailored for data science projects to increase profitability.
During this period, the projects we worked on helped the company achieve its projected profitability.
As part of the company's strategy to create value from data, I participated in the first pilot projects involving AI. These projects covered end-to-end processes such as processing big data and applying machine learning algorithms.
The "Connected Car Realtime Streaming with Big Data on MS Azure" project won the smart manufacturing technologies category award from IDC Turkey. You can find one of the reflections in the press at the first link below:

To increase awareness of data and train the first internal data analysts in business units, I acted as a data coach. During the training sessions, we solved real-world problems, and this became a success story in Microsoft Turkey. You can learn more about it at the link below:

In parallel, I continued to work on business intelligence tasks such as analyzing business needs with business units, transferring business needs to consultants, and managing resource utilization for outsourced BI developments.
As the first in-house BI developer for the company, I was responsible for completing the BI development architecture and standards to ensure that business needs were met in an optimized BI environment. I successfully achieved data consistency in top management dashboards and designed data flow optimizations that improved system performance. Additionally, I was responsible for the product that provided tracking of budget planning and control over the system.
From business needs analysis to delivery, I designed and developed all end-to-end processes of the company's enterprise reports by using business intelligence solutions.
I had the chance to manage the project that included product installations and setups, system integrations, and the creation of the company's first visual BI samples. This project, together with the first mobile BI reports, contributed to an innovative development in its field.
