  • Enhanced athlete performance by developing and implementing individual training/injury prevention programs that aided in healing and prevention of future injury. Program treatment consisted of therapeutic modalities, rehabilitative exercises, physical bracing, and outcome measure testing.
  • Therapeutic modalities included therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, combination therapy, cryotherapy (ice packs, cold whirlpool, Game-Ready cryo-compression boot), and heat therapy (hydrocollator packs, warm whirlpool).
  • Rehabilitative exercises were used to promote range-of-motion, proprioception, and muscular reeducation to areas of injury.
  • Physical bracing consisted of ACE bandage bracing (of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle joints) and athletic tape bracing with pre wrap, athletic tape, power flex, and moleskin (of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, fingers, knee, ankle, and toes).
  • Outcome measure testing was used to establish baselines at the beginning of the season and to measure patient progression through the rehabilitative process. An example of a baseline outcome measure would be the SCAT5 Concussion Assessment Test, while an example of a patient rehabilitation progression outcome measure would be the BESS test.
  • Developed rapport with athletes and boosted team morale by providing attentive treatment, listening to individual concerns, guidance on injury prevention, informal counseling, and open communication in regards to physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Reduced injured athlete recovery time via proper evaluation, athlete education, diagnosis, and close monitoring of athlete progression throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Monitored therapeutic modality cleanliness and safety. Made sure all modalities were cleaned after each use and were up to date on maintenance checks.
