• Move control settings to make necessary adjustments on equipment units affecting speeds of chemical reactions, quality, or yields
• Record operating data, such as process conditions, test results, or instrument readings
• Calculate material requirements or yields according to formulas
• Turn valves to regulate flow of products or byproducts through agitator tanks, storage drums, or neutralizer tanks.

• Seal outlet valves on tank cars, barges, and trucks
• Operate ship loading and unloading equipment, conveyors, hoists, and other specialized material handling equipment such as railroad tank car unloading equipment
• Check conditions and weights of vessels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures
• Unload cars containing liquids by connecting hoses to outlet plugs and pumping compressed air into cars to force liquids into storage tanks
• Start pumps and adjust valves or cables in order to regulate the flow of products to vessels, utilizing knowledge of loading procedures
• Perform general warehouse activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials.

Certified in all positions in department. Currently a ERT with Safety Officer certification from Victoria Fire Dept, also CPR certified. I am currently enrolled at Victoria College for my EMT certification.

• Console operator: Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing
• Monitor a process to produce the product from start to finish
• Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals
• Create, maintain, and enter information into databases
• Complete forms in accordance with company procedures
• Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information, internally or with other organizations
• Manage projects or contribute to committee or team work
• Record operating data, such as process conditions, test results, or instrument readings
• Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or product quality
• Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel
• Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines, using panel boards, control boards, or semi-automatic equipment
• Start pumps to wash and rinse reactor vessels, to exhaust gases or vapors, to regulate the flow of oil, steam, air, or perfume to towers, or to add products to converter or blending vessels
• Notify maintenance, stationary-engineering, or other auxiliary personnel to correct equipment malfunctions or to adjust power, steam, water, or air supplies.

• Floor Hand: Push levers and brake pedals in order to control gasoline, diesel, electric, or steam draw works that lower and raise drill pipes and casings in and out of wells
• Connect sections of drill pipe, using hand tools and powered wrenches and tongs
• Locate and recover lost or broken bits, casings, and drill pipes from wells, using special tools
• Cap wells with packers, or turn valves, in order to regulate outflow of oil from wells
• Derrick Hand: Repair or replace defective parts of machinery, such as rotary drill rigs, water trucks, air compressors, and pumps, using hand tools
• Position and prepare truck-mounted derricks at drilling areas that are specified on field maps
• Plug observation wells, and restore sites
• Lower and explode charges in boreholes in order to start flow of oil from wells
• Dig holes, set forms, and mix and pour concrete, for foundations of steel or wooden derricks.

• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers
• Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
• Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level
• Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales
• Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold
• Hire, train, and evaluate personnel in sales or marketing establishments, promoting or firing workers when appropriate
• Assign employees to specific duties
• Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions
