Essential Job Functions.

• Installs, tests, calibrates and repairs all types of electronic equipment from digital computers used in real time process control applications to analog devices used in the electric power industry using standard and specialized test equipment and tools.
• Uses factory manuals and schematics to repair equipment. Contact factory engineers for aid in troubleshooting complex problems and seeking solutions to continuing problems in equipment.
• Constructs special devices such as printed circuit boards and test equipment to assist department engineers in implementing unique monitoring or control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repair and calibration records.
• Requisition parts and maintains spare parts inventory.
• Supports other divisions with technical assistance and field work as needed.
• Skill in control circuits, potential and current transformers, and substation annunciators.
• May be required to work overtime, or alternate hours, as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
• Position designated as Mission Critical.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs regular field site visits to each SCADA location, identifies and records any SCADA system components in need of replacement, and takes corrective action to ensure the proper working order of the site.
• Responds on-site as a result of a SCADA alarm, investigates source of issue, and takes corrective action including removal and replacement of various SCADA components (RTUs, transducers, HMIs, radios, I/O devices etc.).
• Participates in the start-up of new lift stations to ensure SCADA components are correctly capturing and reporting all necessary data.
• Participates in water tank calibrations; collaborates with the Water Operations.
• Troubleshoots and/or traces electrical circuits in control panels and other equipment; identifies and repairs/replaces the defective component(s).
• Performs records maintenance duties, to include work orders, materials and supplies utilized, cost estimates, labor required, maintenance logs and fuel logs.
• Performs standby during off-duty hours; must be able to respond to the site of emergencies within 60 minutes of notification.
• Access radio masts to install, evaluate and repair SCADA equipment.
• Performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs troubleshooting using the system control and supervision system computers according to training provided.
• Takes appropriate actions to manually control operation of the system to minimize passenger disruption when service is interrupted according to training provided.
• Collects and enters data into operational logs and reports.
• Regularly records operational data into operations database using computer.
• Periodically supports maintenance and cleaning of the Conveyance System.
• Follows lock out tag out policy according to procedure.
• Follows established emergency operation procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Participates in many phases of a SCADA systems implementation including but not limited to testing, installation, startup, and support.
• Installs, services, maintains and troubleshoots a variety of SCADA devices in new and existing systems and equipment.
• Develop graphical interfaces, reports and alerts using SCADA software, databases and web reporting.
• Configures, maintains and monitors SCADA network equipment and services.
• Develops standards, procedures, guidelines, and manuals. Maintains records, documents, and data.
• Works with various customers including maintenance, manufacturing, engineering and leadership to support and enhance their utilization of plant data.
• Assists coordination of service interruption communications to customers and other staff.
• Continually evaluates current system capabilities and limitations, and makes recommendations for future growth and development.
• Conducts training as it relates to SCADA systems.

• Install Satellite antenna, coax cable RG58, DVR recorders; adjust antenna direction and degree angle shooting.
