Accomplishments

Guyandra was my former medical assistant while I was in clinical practice and primary care for internal medicine and pediatrics. We were a busy academic primary care practice with a Med-Peds residency program and nurse practitioner program in downtown Tampa serving a wide range of patients from newborn (from the hospital) to geriatrics and multigenerational families, low income based families, LGBTQ+ patients (we did HRT), women's health (she assisted with my pap smear appointments and sent specimens), and many more. She refilled medications (with our protocol and clinical guidance), answered our patients' MyChart messages, did my prior authorizations, called patients with lab results, and scheduled our patients with me. Our patient pool was very loyal and truly loved our partnership (they were even sad when left for maternity leave). She has worked with my nurse practitioner students and helped us tremendously with keeping us on schedule to make sure that my clinic workflow was smooth and that our patients were not waiting in rooms. That in itself was so valuable because it was key to our very high patient satisfaction. I won a Press Ganey award for patient satisfaction at our institution during her time there and I can attest that a lot of that was due to my amazing medical assistant who was equally loved by our patients.

She is reliable, efficient, hardworking, knowledgeable, and truly had great rapport with our families.
