  • As a Counselor, I interview incoming arrestees to determine what classification of housing they need to be assigned to because of their previous criminal history and current charges. Enter and upload all documents needed. Answer questions regarding incarcerated individuals. Conduct visual checks and speak with inmates in their housing assignments about upcoming court dates and / or attorney appointments. Escort inmates to and from locations in the facility safely. Conduct Parole Hearings with the MD Department of Commissions. Complete necessary paperwork and maintain the organization of their base file completed by the individual and returned promptly to the Parole Commission on their behalf.
  • As a Community Correctional Officer, I place electronic monitors on individuals ordered by the court to be monitored by Pre-Trial Services. This includes monitoring House Arrest, Regular GPS, and Pre-Trial inmates. Documentation is completed every week with updates and individualized organization of weekly stat records. Another job duty is to inform the court officials of compliance and non-compliance reports to Circuit and District courts on behalf of the individuals monitored. I have been teaching the class, Fitness and Nutrition, at the Wor-Wic Correctional Academy for approximately four years.
