I work Major Control two days a week. my duties are, facility counts, offender movement, offender bed moves/unit moves annotated in OMNI, law enforcement notifications, emergent 911 notifications, key control, and safety inspections. I am the Shift Sergeant during two days of my work week sometimes three. My duties are shift operations such as staff accountability at shift change, offender movements, mainline, responding to emergent situations that arise by effectively dispatching QRST. There are also times that I am the on-site supervisor during and emergency. I am also responsible for the mandatory overtime list, and at times assist the Shift Lieutenant with staff rosters for the upcoming shifts.
