Service to the Church

Dr. Weeks has devoted herself to faithful service within the Body of Christ. Under the mentorship and leadership of her father, Bishop Weeks, she held various roles, including custodian, usher, Sunday school teacher, kitchen helper, choir director, preacher, and teacher. Her dedication to ministry was evident from an early age and continued to shape her spiritual journey.

Leadership Roles and Ordination

  • From 1985 to 1988, Dr. Weeks served as the Northeast District Council State Youth President. In 1988, she was ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW) and worked as an International Evangelist until 1994. Simultaneously, from 1989 to 1998, she served as a First Lieutenant Chaplain in the Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge at the end of her service.
  • In 1994, Dr. Weeks became the Pastor of Bethel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Boston, Massachusetts, succeeding her father, who had led the church for 37 years. Her leadership skills were further recognized in 2000 when she was elected as the first female chairperson of the PAW's Northeast District Council, serving two terms. Additionally, she was elected to the PAW Board of Directors in 1998, serving two terms until 2004. She returned to the Board in 2010, serving as Lay Director from the East until 2017.

Elevation to Bishopric

In March 2017, Dr. Weeks was elevated to the office of Diocesan Bishop and was assigned to lead the 64th Episcopal Diocese of the PAW in Eastern Cape, South Africa. Continuing her father's legacy, she was consecrated as the Diocesan of the Northeast District Council in October 2023. This historic event marked her as the first female PAW domestic Diocesan. Bishop Weeks remains deeply committed to loving and serving God as a Servant Shepherd, devoted to feeding God's flock.

Mission and Outreach

Beyond her leadership roles, Bishop Weeks has passionately answered the call to mission work, a commitment that reflects the enduring legacy of her parents. Supported by Bethel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, she leads biannual mission trips to East African nations such as Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Republic of Congo, as well as to Southern African countries including Malawi, Zambia and Johannesburg. Bishop Weeks' ministry also includes travel the Caribbean nations of Antigua, Montserrat, and Barbados; as well as of Puerto Rico and the countries of New Zealand, Australia, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea and India. Bishop Weeks' impact continues, as she with the help of Bethel continue to support many of the places she has ministered.
