Marine Corps JROTC
- Member of Drill Team: Competed against other military installations in Japan
- Marksmanship Team: Competed against other military installations in Japan
Through my volunteer work for the Red Cross in Japan, I was part of the Youth Action Campaign. My team and I would participate in different events at Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni to provide psychoeducation regarding international humanitarian law. We presented information to active duty service members and civilians regarding Hurricane Katrina, the Vietnam war, and burn pits. In my 4 years of ROTC (2 years of Marine Corps JROTC and 2 years of Air Force JROTC, respectively), I was given many volunteer opportunities which included selling baked goods and seatbacks at the UT football games to raise money for our program. During my time in Japan, I was also a member of the drill and marksmanship team.
These experiences gave me the opportunity to demonstrate that I am a detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication and project management skills. I have a proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently in fast-paced environments. I have been recognized for taking proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues, with focus on optimizing processes and supporting team objectives.
