Philanthropy Chairwoman

  • As a Philanthropy Chairwoman, I orchestrated campus-wide fundraising events, fostering widespread participation across San Diego State University
  • Collaborated seamlessly with the Co-Philanthropy Chairwoman and the Public Relations Vice President of my sorority, synergizing efforts to achieve remarkable outcomes
  • Spearheaded initiatives resulting in a record-breaking fundraising achievement, surpassing previous SDSU Panhellenic benchmarks with over $20K raised, marking a historic milestone in philanthropic success.

LAIR OF THE BEAR
  • As a server at the Lair, I led the camper food service effort 3 times a week
  • I served as a liaison between the cooks and the campers

DREAM BIG BLANKET PROJECT
  • Throughout high school and middle school, I made fleece tie blankets for homeless and at-risk youth in San Francisco
  • I first began the project at the age of nine by donating the blankets I made to an orphanage in Nepal through a blanket drive
  • Years later, I affiliated with the Homeless Children's Shelter in San Francisco.

Assistant Program Director, Senior Counselor, Junior Counselor and CIT

  • As Program Director my job included all of the responsibilities of a Senior Counselor, including being responsible for a group of approximately 60 campers and 8 staff members
  • As the Program Director I was in charge of coordinating the end-of-day camper logistics, including camper transportation/transition at the end of the camp day.
  • As a Senior Counselor, my responsibilities included all those associated with CIT and Junior Counselor positions and supervision of Junior Counselor and CITs within a three-counselor home group
  • Each Senior Counselor has responsibility for approximately 18 campers in the home group and is expected to take on more leadership responsibilities.
  • As a Junior Counselor I spent my summer cultivating everlasting bonds for a group of five and six-year-old campers through teachable moments and the creation of memorable adventures
  • As a Junior Counselor, I also participated in the planning and implementation of group and unit activities.
  • As a Junior counselor, I was required to be energetic, responsible, and work well in a team setting.
  • As a CIT I participated in the staff training program which equipped me with many skills including communication skills with campers and staff, how to create successful age-appropriate programs, and behavior modification techniques
  • Being a CIT required me to be energetic, adaptable, responsible, and work well with others.
