Within the third party capture role there a numerous things that are expected / carried out o na day to day basis. I carry out the following.

- Ringing third parties that our clients policy holder have hit we do this to mitigate the cost of the claim.

- We try to pick up on any storage or ongoing costs nice and early so that even if the third party does not wish to use our services we can still give the client important information.

- We offer services of repairs to the third party vehicle or offer a total loss settlement along with a hire vehicle which is free of cost to them.

- Its very important to try to get as much information as possible for emails , Injuries , vehicle location is there any hire ongoing if so who with?

- To summarize third party capture the role is there to save insurers money but to also give them the best chances to defend against future payment packs from other companies.

When i first joined MPL i started as an FNOL handler which means First Notification of loss.

This job entailed the following:

- Answering the phone to anyone who called to report an accident or fire and or a theft , setting the claim up and recovering the vehicle if needed and going over policy validation questions

- With this we also dealt with the repairs to our clients vehicles and also supplied a courtesy car depending on the policy wording.

- FNOL was my first stepping stones in the compony and also for insurance.

- We also had to review the circumstances of the accident and come to the decision if it was a fault claim or a non fault.

- We also took allegation from other drivers / insurance which we would set a claim up then begin to try get in contact with our client to confirm the accident happened and the circumstances

- You also need to vigilant to the different policies as some people may void there policy by not declaring a sticker or points on their lisente for example.
