I am very motivated to give the best experience to those I care for as I believe everyone deserves the finest care. I take pride in my communication skills as well as my willingness to learn new techniques that allow me to be a better caretaker. I am very observant and am always looking for new ways in improve my work.
As a medication aide working with elderly residents, I utilize my communication skills, strong work ethic, and health care knowledge every day. I am able to distribute medication and preform other tasks needed by residents daily. I am able to apply dexcoms, inject insulin, and apply compression socks. My nurses appreciate my communication as well as my observation with changes in condition for the residents I work with. I assist residents with their daily living needs, ensure their cleanliness, and understanding for the medications I administer.
Assisting residents with their daily activates including: dressing, bathing, and administering medication. I organized activates to ensure involvement from residents. Monitoring resident health along with documenting resident changes was a very important role that I did as a resident assistant. I trained new staff with the best practices and skills to have the highest standards to care for the residents living in the facility.
I have my BLS certification.
I received the Guardian Angel Award by a resident from Good Samaritan. This award was granted to me because a resident felt I go above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction with my assistance, my willingness to help, and my caring attitude. I was awarded the Guardian Angel Award in April 2026.
