I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Northwest Missouri State University. I anticipate getting my masters in Library Information and Sciences in the future with the ambition to become an academic librarian. I have had multiple experiences in the classroom within my secondary education as well as occupationally. I really enjoy the environment and hope to have the ability to create and build a classroom for all students to learn effectively and authentically.

Working as the assistant librarian for the Horace Mann Laboratory School, my responsibilities consist of:

  • Maintaining a welcoming environment for patrons by keeping the library clean, organized, and wellstocked
  • Contributed to overall library efficiency by assisting in circulation desk duties such as checking out materials and managing holds.
  • Selected age-appropriate materials for children''s programs to encourage early literacy skills development.
