Eating Disorders and Substance Abuse (2023-2024)

  • Collected and compiled research related to alcohol consumption and its relationship to eating disorders and tailored information to best broadcast to college aged students.
  • Took the lead on research design through social media and blog post content to broadcast to college aged students.

Infant Mortality Rate Among Black Families in relation to Human Donor Milk (2024-present)

  • Collected and analyzed data relating to the doubled infant mortality rate of Black babies compared to White babies and found a linkage to access to human donor milk.
  • Currently working towards taking this research to different policy groups and organizations to engage in public health intervention and increase access to milk banks.

Implementation of CHYA in Relevance to HIV and AIDS (2024-present)

  • Created timelines and researched the implementation of CHYA into school systems and included all relevant amendments.
  • Currently using data from the California Health Institute Survey (CHIS) to formulate the relationship between sex education and HIV/AIDS, and the effects on mental health.
