The interest and goal as a student nurse intern is to attain additional experience as well as advancement in nursing skills to promote the delivery of holistic, safe, and culturally competent patient care. In perspective, characteristics of myself include hardworking, dedicated, and a compassionate individual. Pride and pleasure is greatly experienced in developing a therapeutic relationship and promoting the health and wellness of patient's. In correlation to a student nurse intern; one is seeking to perform fundamental nursing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse; develop competence and confidence in clinical skills to facilitate transition into the role of the registered nurse after graduation; work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients; and serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care while adhering to all policies and procedures of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
