I have a passion for the swine industry, working with pig farmers, and contributing to the sustainability of the production of pork and pork products. As a student working in the lab group of Dr. Derrick J. Coble, I assist the graduate students with their research, assist with the husbandry of the indoor and outdoor herds, and work as a student facilitator for an N.C. A&T Cooperative Extension program aimed at helping farmers in the "Tobacco Belt" to pivot from producing tobacco to producing high-end pork.
