In addition to my catering responsibilities, I also do the bookkeeping for YaYa's Euro Bistro. I enter invoices and file paperwork to corporate office. Payroll is processed through me and then also sent to corporate office for paychecks bi-weekly. I also enter the checks into a log on Excel that is then transferred to corporate office.
I started as a server back in 2013 and worked my way up to being the catering manager for the Salina YaYa's Eurp Bistro, where I currently work. My job roles include creating the client's vision for their event. From there, I create a "BEO" or before event order, for the Chefs and other employees to see. This BEO outlines the event from beginning to end in great detail. I then set up and tear down the events as well as manage a staff wherever applicable. At the end of every event I need to enter in the event into our point of sale system. Since we have a unique relationship with the Homewood Suites by Hilton in which we provide catering to their hotel guests, I also need to make sure my numbers will line up with theirs.
