At UPS, I was one of three strong seasonal support drivers that were responsible for delivering packages to multiple counties in southwest Kansas. I provided exceptional customer service, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly. I consistently collaborated with my warehouse in order to effectively make changes throughout my day including impromptu route changes, aiding other drivers, and completing package pickups. As this job was purely seasonal, I found so much joy in it and was only able to work around peak time for the year although I wanted to work much more.

As an assistant manager, I assisted in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new employees to prepare for opening of the Dodge location, as well as maintain adequate staffing levels. I developed strong work relationships with staff, fostering a positive work environment. I consistently lead my team in driving sales by uncovering the guest's need at the time and what optimal wash would suit their car. I also gained a substantial amount of valuable mechanical knowledge while in this position.

As a server and hostess at Central Station, I was able to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities at one time. I thoroughly enjoyed serving multiple tables at once while creating meaningful connections with customers. I recommended proper food and drink that may suit each customer as well as ensured that their experience was the best it could be. I effectively served parties of 30+ people in an evening or lunch shift. Hosting was also enjoyable as I uncovered customer seating needs as well as coordinated reservations. I was also responsible for my serving staff as a hostess, working to make sure customer needs are met and supplementing when servers are busy. I obtained a very healthy amount of cash handling in this position.

As a key holder, I played an important role as one of four total in our management team. This position allowed me to understand the culture around selling and what it means to create genuine connections with customers in order to unlock their needs. I consistently lead the way as top seller for multiple months at a time due to my confidence and "go get 'em" attitude. I contributed to store profitability by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products. I was also responsible for shop appearance as I lead the way in floorsets that reset the store in marketing and product changes. I streamlined inventory management, ensuring timely replenishment of merchandise to keep the store looking great. I managed daily cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and preventing losses due to discrepancies. This position was also a great stepping stone into getting comfortable with cash handling as I had nightly deposits I was responsible for as well.

As a sandwich artist, I had responsibilities to accurately prepare customers orders while in shop. I also had cleaning duties to maintain a clean work station as well as cleaning to close in the evening. As a delivery driver, I would enhance delivery efficiency by optimizing routes using GPS navigation and mapping tools. "Freaky fast delivery" means fast on your feet, safe on the streets. I enjoyed this position because I created meaningful work relationships that lasted outside of the job and continue to support management.
