I worked at Pennsgrove Elementary school from December 10th to June 14th. I worked one on one with special needs children throughout the whole day. I worked with kids ranging from first to third grade. I got to know the kids and understand how their minds worked so i could help them better to learn. I stayed with them while they ate, on the playground, walking in halls, and doing one on one work or group activities. When the kids would get upset I would communicate with them and help them understand what’s wrong. I had meetings with different teachers to discuss different ways we can help the kids cope. I also took a 8 hour corse on how to restrain a child without harming them when necessary.
