Highly-motivated employee with desire to take on new challenges. Strong work ethic, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Adept at working effectively unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills.
The activities I have focused on, working with animals such as horses and cows, giving lessons in horse care and riding. I am learning animal acupressure and horse dental care and restoration. I also volunteered and worked at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium where I talked to the public about the animals at the zoo and conservation messages. I did a weeklong camp at Sea World San Diego focusing on animal keeper training and experience. I traveled twice to Rancho Santa Fe, CA and attended a weeklong camp at Helen Woodward Animal Center focusing on veterinarians and animal surgical care. I also continued with classes working on my surgical stitching skills. I was a girl scout for 9 years and have earned my bronze and silver awards. In 2022 I enrolled in school at University of Alaska Fairbanks studying for a wildlife and conservation degree, and have transferred to University of Colorado, Fort Collins where I am continuing for my bachelor's degree in Zoology. In addition to learning about and working with animals I enjoy photographing them. I spend a lot of my free time taking pictures of animals around me and enjoy finding them in their natural habitats. Another one of my passions is my volunteer work with equine therapeutic riding. I also love to hike, camp, swim and be outdoor rain, sunshine, or snow. I ride horses, work with animals and kids. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new environments and cultures.
