I worked at Wake Med hospital as a sitter. I sat with different nationalities, cultures, genders and floors of the hospital. My job was to make sure the patient stayed safe. I sat next to the door and had a whistle if needed assistance. Wherever the patient went, I went. I was doing this job while I was going through nursing school.
