  • The nitrogen existing line have been isolated by GASAL operation team and handed over to construction team
  • Then we start cutting the existing nitrogen line with normal grinding machine to install our connection fitting (TEE JOINT)
  • The fitting has been hydro tested earlier in the lay down
  • We have connected the tee with welding neck flanges and then the flanges related to blind flanges to block the water
  • Two of the flanges were connected with valves to have the water in and the other valve to make sure that the spool is emptied from air and filled totally with water
  • The spool has been tested to60 bars for around2 hours
  • Second Assignment: piping insulation work:
  • I was following up the piping installation work (thrust boring crossing area)
  • The fabricated spools were connected one by one

  • I used to supervise the installation and the construction activities of those two lines
  • During that period, I was reporting to construction manager all work activities that were running daily in the site
  • I have supervised the fabrication, fitting welding and joining processes
  • There are so many steps for installation of piping
  • First, we make fit up for the pipes then we use high low gage to fit up the spools properly (the gap will be plus or minus2 mm)
  • Then we put the tacking clip then we start the welding steps, there is a ROOT PASS, HOT PASS, FILLER PASS, and CAP
  • After that I have assigned to work with QC team to make daily progress inspection report (PIR)
