  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to find root causes and devise corrections in order to supply the customer with solutions for their primary or contingency communication systems. Regularly communicates with customers in person and/or remotely to explain installation processes of equipment, ideal satellite dish placement based off region, and communication solutions to best suit their needs.
  • Maintaining a dynamic FDMA/TDMA satellite network providing OpenNet, ClassNet, VOIP , and DSN services to support the Department of State. Support tactical and commercial VSAT systems to provide TDMA and FDMA connectivity for on-the-move or flyaway capabilities for the customer.
  • Remotely and on site; supply internet services by installing VSAT systems, routers, and switches so that the customer can access their required networks in an emergency situation.
  • Responsible for the submission of Satellite Access and Gateway Access Requests to provision appropriate services necessary to provide support for training exercises, emergency events, and Tactical Operation Centers.
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers to express the usability and procedures to allow their operation to be a success . This requires meticulous planning and coordination to successfully provide assistance or demonstrations to the customer. Handled multiple simultaneous deployment projects against strict deadlines to provide services for Department of State customers.
  • Manage the current COMSEC account to include but not limited to inventory, requesting keys, transferring equipment in iAPP, receiving equipment, and processing the destruction of previously issued keys.
  • Responsible for processing the MRA GO Desktop devices (EMDs) on request from our government customer. This includes identifying, tracking, transporting, and delivering the devices to the designated user.

Advanced satellite operators course at MCTSSA

Accomplishments

As Satellite transmissions chief with the special purpose marine air-ground task force-crisis response-central command (SPMAGTF) in a forward deployed environment I was the subject matter expert of six satellite terminals and one master reference terminal. This included primary and redundant communications for the entire SPMAGTF utilizing TDMA and FDMA missions. This resulted in a Navy and Marine Corp achievement medal.
