I believe I am right person for a teaching job within this school district. My philosophy on teaching is all students can learn if given the chance. There is a multitude of students who do not get the adequate amount of love, nurturing, or attention at home and my goal is to serve this community with everything I have to offer to the future leaders of our town, state, and even country. A little love and words of encouragement can go along way when regarding a vulnerable population such as students. I believe that although education is very important, and it is our job as teachers to teach them, it is also our job to be these students and parents advocates regarding their child. I have served and represented this community in many different ways throughout my lifetime and I hope and pray you allow me to serve the people of our community one of the most important ways, teaching them to become productive members of our society.
* I made sure the cabins were cleaned and sanitized before, during, and after customers stay at our facilities.
* Customers were greeted with a kind, warm, and friendly welcome at all times during their stay and visit at the lake.
* I had to make sure the linen was clean and fresh for customers as well as bathrooms, kitchens, and porch areas was clean for customers could enjoy the luxuries of Mother Nature.
* I sold merchandise such as pizza, candy, and drinks, as well as propane, tobacco products, and fuel.
* I also made and sold pizzas that was made by a formula expected of us by our boss.
* I had to take inventory of the merchandise on the shelves, in the freezers, and took note of what was needed so the manager could order what was necessary.
*Our daily duties included, but not limited to: stocking and sanitizing the pizza counter, stocking and sanitizing the ice cream counter, stocking the cigarette shelves, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms.
* I greeted customers every shift with a warm welcome and if they received the wrong product, with the approval of my manager I made it right.
* Supervised children of all ages were safely swimming, sliding, and playing with one another.
* I made sure children were not put in harms way with the water levels, whether it was the chemicals used in the pool were off per the manager, or the children were not in water too deep for them.
* I made sure children swam in clean, sanitary water and if there was ever an acccident that the child may be exposed to a biohazard we evacuated the pool for the specific amount of time enforced by the State of Arkansas.
* Welcomed customers from all over the world to our beautiful Diamond Mine.
* I made sure the facilities were clean and sanitized for our customers to enjoy their experience at the park.
* Also one cool thing I did, was I identified the rocks that was found at the park. Customers always enjoyed that the most.
* While working at the Diamond Discovery Center, we rented out equipment to customers so they could get the full experience of digging for diamonds.
* Two times daily, we had to keep a count of the equipment rented out so we could ensure we got it all back at the end of the day so we would have it for the next day.
* I also collected money and refunded money for equipment or the purchases of the products at the Crater.
