'Bartolome de Las Casas and his early influences': 02/2016 This historical project of Bartolome de las Casas is based on his fundamental influences to become the defender of the Indians. Among the many influences of this friar, two in particular are studied, which are Antonio Montesinos and Ramón Pané. Such research studies were done with primary resources such as Pane's book of the antiquities of the Indians 1498, and letters of the first Dominican friars to and from Spain 1511 to 1520. This work is currently being developed into a book.
