Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Advocate - 2010-2017

Throughout my childhood, I aided in raising awareness for congenital  heart defects and supported children and families affected by CHD. I participated in fundraising and community outreach for organizations including Merry Heart Children's Camp in Oregon, the Pediatric Heart Foundation, and Oakland Children's Hospital. In 2015, I successfully petitioned the Governor of Oregon (John Kitzhaber) to officially recognize February 7th through February 14th as Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week and received an official Proclamation on February 6th of 2015. 

Growing Giraffes Preschool Student Volunteer - 2022-2026

Throughout high school, I visited the Growing Giraffes preschool almost weekly. While there, I would assist in class storytimes, songs, games, crafts, and dances. On days I wasn't at the daycare, I was planning, creating, or preparing crafts and activities for the kids at the daycare. I also volunteered for a couple holiday events over the years. My time spent at the daycare has totaled at over 60+ hours, which helped me earn my CTE Early Childhood Education Certificate.
