While attending my last semester of respiratory school, I was hired as a non licensed respiratory care tech at a local hospital. My job duties include

• Administering breathing treatments
• Assessing and maintaining need for oxygen therapy
• Performing CPT treatments
• Equipment cleaning and processing
• Responding to all rapid and emergent calls

I was hired as a full time medical assistant in December 2022 for a very fast paced dermatology clinic. I am trained to work for a single provider that schedules 70-80 patients a day. I am also highly trained to assist with skin cancer MOHS procedures. My specific job duties include

• Maintaining office flow by triaging patients.
• Scribing and taking notes for providers.
• Entering and sending prescriptions for providers.
• Assisting in collecting biopsy samples
• Cleaning and bandaging wounds.
• Assisting with local anesthesia sterile surgical procedures.
• Serving as a surgical assistant for malignant surgeries and MOHS procedures.
• Calling biopsy results to patients and scheduling appointments for the appropriate treatment plan.
• Training new hires as needed

I began working for the laboratory at Memorial Medical Center in December of 2020 during the COVID pandemic. This job supported my passion for helping people and being part of a team. Outside of the patient care I provided, I also gained experience in computer basics and data entry. My previous leadership experience came in handy as I became a trainer and was a preceptor for new hires. Some of my responsibilites included.

• Identified patients using two identifiers.
• Performed venipuncture on patients of all age groups in all departments including but not limited to ER, Pediatrics, NICU, and ICU.
• Performed capillary punctures for newborn screens.
• Performed point of care testing.
• Resolved unusual test orders by contacting physicians, nursing stations, or reference laboratories.
• Documented specimen collection data into the appropriate medical record system.
• Received specimens by verifying all is labeled correctly.
• loaded/unloaded the centrifuge.
• Assisted laboratory staff in processing and preserving specimens according to laboratory policy.
• Prepared lab orders and supply carts for morning rounds.
• Oriented new hires

I began working at kohls while attending school part time and also maintaining another job at a local high school. My main title was service associate which included working point of sale and customer service. I was also cross trained to work in all other departments as needed. I provied a high level of customer service and gained a lot of communication and leadership skills. My biggest accomplishments while working here included being one of the top 3 credit and rewards solicitors in the entire store. After working for a year, I began training to work the cash office shift. Some of my job duties included

• Welcomed customers into the store
• Running a cash register
• Processed several types of payments including credit and debit cards, cash, and check.
• Delivered a high level of customer service and hospitality.
• Ensured my work area is kept, clean, organized, and stocked.
• Used creativity skills to make departments come to life.
• Encouraged teamwork by backing up other departments as needed.
• Worked the cash office early morning shift 3-5 days a week
• Balanced register tils and store safe.
• Prepared bank deposit slips.
• Ordering change from the bank

I participated in marching band in high school where I performed with the colorguard. Paticipating in marching band taught me many life lessons that I will always carry with me. 2 years after I graduated high school, I was hired as the Colorguard Coach for the band program. My responsibilities included.

• Leading and supervising all rehearsals which consisted of 16-32 high school students.
• Teaching the students all the basics and fundamentals the activity requires.
• Organizing rehearsal plans ahead of time.
• Creating a semester long rehearsal and competition schedule
• Scheduling and running parent meetings
• Maintaining a strong communication system between students and parents.
• Keeping up with communication between the band directors and band parent board.
• Creating and maintaining a budget
• Ordering needed supplies.
• Keeping an organized inventory of uniforms and equipment.
• Ensuring all students are healthy and love what they do
