Inserted Foley catheters, peripheral IV’s, assisted with epidural administration, IV fluid administration, medication administration to mothers and infants, care of infant post-birth, blood glucose levels, breast feeding education and assistance, and hearing screenings on infants.

• Cared for patients that involved high acuity care due to having recent brain surgery, brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and patients with epilepsy. Care for these patients included tracheostomy care, PEG tubes, NG tubes, medication administration, and chest tube care, which was overseen by a Registered Nurse.

• Cared for students ranging from freshman to sophomores in high school. There was a wide range of students from all over world in attendance here. Helped educate students and faculty on COVID-19 and proper hand washing techniques. Education to students included coping mechanisms, adequate sleep, proper nutrition, post-concussion education, and proper management of sports injuries. Administered TB tests to freshman students.

• Provided and performed post-partum cares for mothers and infants. Monitored vital signs of mothers and infants and administered medications. Performed a head-to-toe assessment on newborns which included heart sounds, lung sounds, APGAR assessments, hearing assessments, and blood sugar checks.
