Summary

Compassionate and hardworking family medicine physician motivated to provide high-quality, full-spectrum care for patients of all ages. As a primary care provider I am dedicated to promoting preventative care and optimizing chronic conditions in order to best serve my patients and their health goals. Currently completing an obstetrics fellowship which will better-prepare me to provide prenatal care for patients that may desire to have a single physician for their medical needs; with the capability to then deliver and care for their newborns as well.

  • Supervise residents and work alongside OB-GYN and Family Medicine attendings in the management of antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients on labor and delivery.
  • Perform vaginal deliveries, assist, as well as act as primary surgeon in primary and repeat cesarean sections alongside attending physicians.
  • Participate in prenatal care alongside OB-GYN attendings and MFM specialists.

  • Provided full spectrum family medicine care to patients from the newborn stage through end-of-life care. This includes obstetrical care in the form of regular prenatal care as well as managing laboring patients on labor and delivery, performing vaginal deliveries, assisting in cesarean sections, and providing postpartum and newborn care, in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Managed a panel of patients in the outpatient setting as their primary care provider, including pregnant women and pediatric patients.

Chief Resident

 July 2023-June 2024

  • Designed monthly schedules for resident coverage of Labor & Delivery and Newborn Nursery for a residency program with over 50 active residents.
  • Coordinated coverage of L&D and Newborn Nursery when residents were unexpectedly unable to work their scheduled shifts.
  • Provided mentorship to interns and junior residents during their inpatient and outpatient rotations.
  • Worked with the Graduate Medical Education office to brainstorm and implement ideas and practices to improve resident wellness and learning experiences.
  • Along with my co-residents, represented the residents in order to convey recommendations and requests from residents to GME.


Leadership and Experiences

  • Obstetrics elective at St. Peter's Hospital - Albany, NY (Feb 2023): With help from my residency program director, I became the first resident from St. Joseph's to pursue an OB elective at St. Peter's Hospital where they do not have regular resident coverage overnight and on weekends. I am currently in the process of working towards this being a regular elective for residents on the OB Track.
  • Women's group at YWCA - Syracuse, NY (Oct & Nov 2022)

-Met with a women's group to provide education and facilitate discussions about postpartum depression. 

  • Katie's Closet - Binghamton, NY (2019-Present)

-Inspired by my late Sister’s passion for helping those less fortunate and her love of clothes, my family partnered with a local church and created Katie’s Closet to provide free and unlimited clothes to community members in need. We continue to volunteer at the clothing pantry on a regular basis.   

  • Continued Medical Education Committee - Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (Sept 2019-Sept 2020)

-Attended quarterly meetings to discuss upcoming CME presentations and provide suggestions about what topics would be most beneficial for the medical students at the hospital.

  • Founder of Holiday Care-Packages for the Homeless - Binghamton, NY (2015-2020)

-Coordinated the collection, assembly, and distribution of care-packages for unhoused individuals, adults and children, in Binghamton, NY.

-50 care-packages annually, made possible by the generous donations from local business and individuals.

-Participated in community outreach programs geared towards volunteer work and making a positive impact on our community.
