Carriage Cove-Rexburg ID Geriatric Rotation (40 hrs)

• Assisted the residents with various ADLS and vital signs.
• Helped the nurse change a resident's wound vacuum on her coccyx and learned how to use the Hoyer lift.

Behavioral Health Center-Idaho Falls ID Mental Health Rotation (30 hrs)

• Administered a variety of meds that helped the individual's mental state thereby lessening their overall anxiety and depression.
• Performed therapeutic communication and learned how to help de-escalate triggering situations.
• Learned how to perform a CIWA assessment and worked with adults and adolescents.

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center-Idaho Falls ID First Medical Surgical Rotation (48 hrs)

• Worked with skilled nurses in the transitional care/step-down ICU and orthopedic surgery recovery unit.
• Administered various medications intravenously, orally, intramuscularly, and subcutaneously.
• Learned how ventilators work and how to maintain an NG tube and PEG tube.

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center-Idaho Falls ID Maternal Health Rotation (48 hrs)

• Worked one shift in each of the following: labor and delivery, women's health, pediatrics, and the NICU.
• Inserted Foley catheters, administered a blood transfusion, and learned how to insert an oropharyngeal tube.

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center-Idaho Falls ID Second Medical Surgical Rotation (60 hrs)

• Worked one to two shifts in the following: the cath lab, the ER, the ICU, and the transitional care unit.
• Hung a variety of drips, helped with sutures, started more than ten IVs, and monitored hemodynamics.

Madison Memorial Hospital-Rexburg ID NICU Capstone (180 hrs)

• Currently working nights in the NICU. Assists the nurses with bottle feedings, takes vital signs consistently, performs physical assessments, and makes sure to maintain their fluid levels.
