  • I originally began employment with Lifetouch as a traveling photographer. Over the years, I became a lead photographer and was in charge of overseeing other photographers, working with school staff, and making sure picture day ran smoothly. I collected all payments and transported them back to our main office. Later, I became a photographer in our studio and took senior portraits.

  • I began employment as a front office receptionist. Over the years, I grew with the company, becoming the front office manager and working my way into a position in the billing department. I completed the following task: I was in charge of overseeing the front desk and making sure daily tasks were completed. I made sure the Physical Therapist's needs we being met and that patient needs were meeting or exceeding their expectations. When in the billing department, I handled all the incoming mail as well as posted and applied payments from patients and insurance companies. I handled collections from patients. I worked with numerous attorneys to get patients set up on liens in order to get the care they needed. I was part of the hiring process for all of administration for the El Dorado Hills office. Along with the hiring process, I was in charge of training new employees. I was also in charge of medical records for all three of our locations.

  • I started my career as the sole front office staff member. As the company grew, so did my role; I became deeply involved in the company's billing processes and eventually took on the role of billing coordinator. My responsibilities included managing multiple phone lines, verifying patient accounts, and ensuring the collection of copays. I was responsible for posting patient payments and maintaining medical records. Additionally, I participated in the hiring process for new administrative staff and, upon their employment, I oversaw their training. This included instructing both new administrative personnel and incoming physical therapists on scheduling and billing procedures and developing a training manual. My role also required me to travel to various locations to train staff at our new sites in California and Reno.
