  • Analyze, improve, and oversee all supply chain systems and processes, and design and implement programs to improve the efficiency of those processes
  • Study the existing infrastructure for supply chain and logistics operations, identify opportunities for improvements, and design systems that streamline or automate procedures
  • The goal is to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and cut expenses
  • I use a variety of software programs and tools and may also use statistical calculations and data analysis to determine the most efficient routines and strategies
  • I also order yarn every week, to have enough yarn to run machines while also driving down inventory
  • Schedule machines for production to know when yarn will run, and on what machine, with a specific pack count and production rate
  • I forecast to vendors the dates that the textured yarn with be completed and ready to ship
  • Lastly, I forecast yarn orders six weeks in advance in anticipation of running yarn for a customer

  • My daily job entails receiving Po’s, by using a packing list to receive the material into the slot and the rest into a reserve in that air via a reach lift forklift
  • I put up battery trucks in their designated area, which I first must make room for by pulling down old batteries and putting them in the slot, following the FIFO rule
  • We must also meet production standards for the week, which is a computer system that tracks how fast and the quantity we should be putting up each hour
  • To stay busy, we do replenishments and put up products, as well as track products

  • My daily tasks included overseeing the truck schedule and loading times for all material coming in
  • This meant keeping up with the scheduled trucks for our Shiloh holding site and other shipments such as FedEx, UPS, Holland, or any expedited material
  • While keeping up with the routine shipments and unloading and receiving promptly I also shipped out material that was given to me by the different departments by creating the shipping label and transportation arrangements
  • As a dock manager, my duties were also to keep a full staff on the dock by calling in people or posting mandatory overtime
  • When needed I trained people from other departments when we were short-handed

  • Depending on the process of the job I either take it out to the site or label it with the job and put it in the racks
