I have been apart of the Brooks YMCA family since the start of high school, working my way up from lifeguard to head lifeguard and then aquatics coordinator. I am passionate about keeping everyone safe and making the aquatics area a fun and welcoming space. I know the team and community extremely well and I am fully ready to jump back in with full dedication.
I have worked at Brooks YMCA for a long time, I started off as a lifeguard. My tasks were to lifeguard and to respond to any emergency's or issues pertaining the pool. Throughout my time guarding I have responded 3+ rescues in the pool and have filled out incident reports documenting anything medical related. This past summer I was asked to move to a Head Guard. A Head Guard maintains the flow of traffic on the pool deck, tests chemicals and responds to patron complaints. Working as a Head Guard requires problem solving, quick thinking, management of the pool and others and lastly, communication with all.

I grew up riding and wanted to share my passion with others. I did not get paid, however I loved it. My main job was helping children become comfortable around horses. The other volunteers and I would take children on trail rides or teach them about horses. This job took patience, love and care. Along with an understanding of each and every child and accommodating to every childs needs. Working at this camp required a knowledge of each child past, physical capably and mental state.
