• Providing direct patient care to premature and ill neonates. Delivering exceptional, individualized patient care by performing detailed assessments, collaborating in development of care plans, and fulfilling patient's basic needs. Organizing and managing care of patients undergoing various therapies and procedures.
• Collaborating with all members of patient care team to ensure effective patient care from admission to discharge. Using critical thinking skills to care for and advocate for each patient to promote best outcomes.
• Providing psychosocial support and education to parents and family members.

• Performs delegated tasks including but not limited to vital signs, lab draws, feeding and changing neonates, and appropriate skin care.

• Chosen to be one of 23 student nurse externs from a total of 150+ applicants to participate in the Student Nurse Extern Program.
• Experience included shadowing RN while also functioning as Patient Care Assistant. Performed cares, stocking, and assisting with procedures.
• Including 24 hours of educational, skill-based, hands-on workshops.
