I am an MPH (Health Behavior) student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a clinical background in physiotherapy in India, and a deep interest in supporting mental health—especially among students navigating stress, anxiety, and life transitions.
My journey into public health and mental well-being comes not just from academics, but from real-life experiences of working closely with individuals facing both physical and emotional challenges. I have seen how stress, lack of awareness, and limited support can impact a person’s health and daily life. I have battled and overcome many struggles personally and I understand the need for support on a personal level.
I want to be part of a space like the UAB Student Counseling Center where students feel heard, respected, and supported.
