-Spoke on a panel as a survivor of hate-based violence, alongside other survivors who have lost loved ones to hate-fueled violence, as well as leaders in government positions and organizations who service victims of mass terrorism, hate-fueled violence, and organize around communities who have been impacted by hate. Our panel focused on topics of what it is like to lose a loved one to hate-fueled violence and the ripple effects of destruction and trauma that is caused in the wake of tragedy, as well as the ways one finds meaning, purpose, and strength in moving forward after surviving and losing a loved one to hate-based violence. Our panel addressed a room of over 200+ professionals in government, law enforcement, prevention, academia, mental health, psychology, social work, and community organizing who operate in Canada, the U.S, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
