  • A Matter of Balance – Fall Prevention Program, Austin, TX, 2023, A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based, national 8-week program that is specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels in community-dwelling older adults. I led and communicated with other trained coaches for each session which included group discussions, problem-solving, exercise training, education on safe activity, and assertiveness to increase independence and reduce the risk of falling.
  • Camp Promise – Jett Foundation, Gig Harbor, WA, 2019, Camp Promise is a summer camp created by the Jett Foundation for kids and adults with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. Volunteered 170 hours as a 24/7 caregiver for one-on-one camp experience. Skills required included transfers, toileting/showering, feeding, creativity, and teamwork with other staff to provide the best experience for everyone.
  • Tacoma Metro Parks Adaptive Recreation, Tacoma, WA, 2017-2018, Tacoma Metro Parks Adaptive Recreation is a local, community-based program that promotes recreational, social, and athletic opportunities for youth and adults with physical disabilities. Sports and programs offered include wheelchair basketball, track and field, goalball, cycling, camps & clinics, and adaptive youth programs. Volunteered and collaborated with various adaptive recreation teams including wheelchair basketball, goalball, and adaptive cycling.
