  • As a Teacher’s Aide from 2017 to 2022 I had the responsibility to care for each child in the way they needed. The opportunity to create and execute fun and unique lesson plans with social and emotional themes in mind. I was tasked with supporting children with special needs and learning difficulties.
  • As a sub from 2022 to 2024 I had the responsibility to be available for last minute call outs and scheduled call outs. I had the ability to remember names and characteristics of all 178 students as well as routines and schedules of all 12 classrooms. I was able to use the years of experience at this center to know roles and adapt to the missing role.
  • As a Teacher’s Assistant in 2025, I had the responsibility to support the lead teacher in planning and executing lesson plans as well as strategizing class management. My priority was to support and care for my teaching team in addition to the children we were tasked to care for.
  • In every role at the Early Education Center, my number one priority was the joy, safety and growth of the children I was trusted to look after and educate. I also prioritized creating strong parent-teacher relationships with each parent that trusted their child with me and my team.

  • In my roll as a direct support professional for a 21-year-old with autism, I provided support during the time of limbo between minor and adult coverage. In my support, an assist with daily tasks, completing housework and sticking with a schedule was accomplished. Activities throughout the day was done with the client such as writing notes to parents, designated fidget time, looking at new addresses on Google Maps and going on walks around the neighborhood.

I was mentored and educated in the process of budgeting of a university department and management of said office in the “off season”.
