• Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Units | UC Health (48 hours)

Precepted by RN on the maternity care units, a state-of-the-art birthing center. Gained experience in antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum and mother-baby care.

• Collaborated with Level I trauma team in patient outreach for those who had experienced traumatic events or injuries in order to direct them toward services to better assist in their recovery process.
• Assisted nurses, doctors, and other staff in maintaining order and well-stocked pre-op and PACU environments, and prepared rooms for incoming patients.
• Assisted medical staff in running Covid-19 vaccination clinics.
  

• Performed alongside student and experienced healthcare providers to provide accessible health and wellness checks to low-income patients.

• Enthusiastically greeted over 80 new and returning customers daily, discussed specials, took drink and food orders, and built immediate positive connections with guests.
