Clinical Experience-

For my capstone experience during the Summer of 2022 I spent 100 clinical hours in the Operating Room Department. During that time I gained a variety of skills that can translate to many different departments in the hospital. I was able to learn quickly many assessment skills and the importance of prioritizing patient safety in all situations. I was able to plan with many different interdisciplinary teams in the hospital to best help achieve good patient outcomes. I was also able to take and give report to a variety of different units and spend time transferring patients to said units. In to OR I also gained many skills to help with safety and hygiene as well as communicating effectively with physicians and other team members helping with patient care.
