As I moved up from a team member and certified expert team member to a certified trainer, I onboard new team members/ employees to the Chick Fil A family. This means I run shifts, which includes assigning positions, ensuring food quality, and resolving customer complaints. I also assist in the back office with food preparation, safety procedures, and equipment management, while also handling customer interactions, order deliveries, and restocking. Most trainers, including myself, also take on the challenging task of bagging food and we report directly to team leaders and directors.
I started Chick Fil A in October 2023 and as of right now i am currently on my second raise. From Expert Team Member to Train. As a front of the house trainer I instruct incoming employees on the various tasks involved in front of the house operations: milkshake production, bagging orders,
cleaning tables,mopping floors,distributing
food at drive-thru windows, pouring ice creams into machines, and restocking supplies.
As long as I have been working at Chick-fil-A, I have no regrets in choosing it as my first job. I have learned a great deal about the importance of showing people kindness, compassion, and patience. It's amazing to see how doing such "simple" or "small" things can impact a person. This includes doing things my job enforces us to do, such as talking to our customers using their name, telling our customers goodbye and to have a nice day, showing our customers that they don't have to rush and that it's okay to take their time, and going the second mile by checking up on our customers and asking if everything is okay and if they need anything else.
I have received many compliments about my attitude and personality, and I am beyond grateful for this job because it only continues to prepare me for my future career as a registered nurse.
