Passionate and driven professional with experience as a Fisheries Observer at Alaskan Observers, skilled in biological sampling and data analysis. Proven ability to enhance marine ecosystem understanding through effective collaboration and problem-solving. Skilled at species identification and field sampling. Adept at multitasking and maintaining high standards in fast-paced environments, contributing to impactful research publications and successful project outcomes.
In this role, I assist in the reduction of marine mammal interactions by conducting regular monitoring of fishing gear deployments and retrievals. I also conduct meticulous biological sampling for scientific research purposes, contributing valuable insights into fish populations and species distributions. I optimize resource allocation strategies through diligent tracking of commercial catch quotas across multiple fleets or regions. I also collaborate with scientists or researchers on relevant projects that contribute to a better understanding or preservation of marine ecosystems.
At this position, I collaborated with surgeons, computer developers, and engineers to create 3D models of pediatric heart structures. These models were used by surgeons for surgical planning. I collaborated with colleagues and supervisors to meet project objectives and deadlines. I implemented R code programs created by statisticians to analyze the data collected, and created figures to visualize it. Finally, I co-authored a scientific article and helped other lab members with other publications.
In this role, I maintained high standards of customer service in high-pressure and fast-paced operations. I managed currency and credit transactions quickly and accurately. I communicated clearly and positively with customers, coworkers, and management. I also balanced multiple tasks at the same time to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. I also trained new team members on procedures, customer service, and sales techniques.
