In one of my senior-year classes, called Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, we grew basil, made pesto, and sold it at various school events. We profited about 800$ and donated all profits to Neighborhood House. Neighborhood House is a local organization in Portland that uses donations to provide food for impoverished families and the homeless.
I was a two-year member of the environmental team (OES SOLVE) at my school. We participated in trash cleanups around the Portland metro area. Removed invasive species on and off campus. Worked in an elementary school to teach young kids about habitat conservation and the importance of protecting our planet.
I played and started four years of varsity lacrosse and three years of varsity basketball. I was named captain of my basketball team in my junior year and captain of my lacrosse team in my senior year.
