- i connect the locater box to a service but if there is not a yellow wire coming out there's a chance the gas line is steel. If it's a steel line, then connect the locater box to the vault of the service and turn the locater box to start looking for the gas line.
- A big part of the job is to accurately find the gas line and start doing bar test to find out the LEV/VOL to find where the leak is. Startstart excavating to be able to look physically at the pipe and to clean the pipe with a metal spatula to remove any extra residue, hit pipe with copper hamer. The last step is to soap gas line to find any bubbles comin out.
