  • Worked with founders to find and fund the purchase a building, obtain insurance and comply with city regulations.
  • Taught founders and leaders how to form and work with a board of directors, how to raise funds from private and governmental sources, how to develop and work with a budget, how to manage funds.
  • The center is still there serving children, youth and families and at last report, no one has been killed within a radius of the center.

  • Initiated affordable housing project which became a leading provider of affordable housing in upstate NY, Housing Visions Unlimited.
  • Assisted in development of neighborhood Inter-religious group which helped neighbors find jobs in hospitals and University.
  • Worked with leaders to raise funds for budget and endowments.
  • Implemented Administrative Board decision to seek an African American clergy to serve as Associate Pastor.
  • Collaborated with church staff to accomplish normal church functions.
  • Preached sermons on social issues with press present in order to get message on TV and in newspapers.
  • Wrote regularly for weekly church newsletter.
