Eastern Connecticut Rugby: For the past couple of years I have been helping out at a soup Kitchen through my rugby team. every week we help unload hundreds of pounds of food that is given out to people in need. in addition to this we have done multiple fundraisers for the soup kitchen. our most famous fundraiser is the plunge for hunger where we raise money and do a polar plunge, the past two years we have raised over 130,000 dollars for the soup kitchen each year and have even been on the news to bring awareness to the event. I am a believer that in order to create a healthy individual they need a healthy environment and community outreach is a great way to build a community and a healthy environment within it
