Summary

I am a young professional who is highly motivated and always looking for ways to further my knowledge within my trade. I am very good at working within a team and being a team player but I can also handle working on my own. I do possess my own tools and a driving license as they are essentials.

Work History

Store assistant

Asda
  • While working for Asda it gave me the skills I needed to deal with customers and other members of the public
  • I worked for Asda for 6 months whilst I was at college completing my carpentry level 1 course
  • During this time I was also looking for an apprenticeship which I found in whites carpentry.

Carpenter

Whites carpentry
  • Whilst working for whites carpentry I have learnt the skills and the fundamentals of a building site and what each job entails
  • I completed my carpentry level 2 course with whites carpentry and since have been working with other carpenters to better myself as a carpenter and to develop my skills within the trade
  • Working for whites carpentry and similar companies my skills are varied seeing as I have been doing a mix of first fix carpentry and second fix carpentry as well as timber framing and roofing.

Director

Fellowes Carpentry
  • I started my own carpentry business back at the beginning of 2017
  • During this time I have completed jobs for first fix carpentry, second fix carpentry and general building works
  • My role in this business was to get the work in, price the work, give statement of works, comply with H&S legislations and complete works on time
  • The biggest job that the company had on was a job in Bedford doing a refurbishment of a seven bed property which was being used as a HMO
  • This meant that there had to be a very high standard of finish and comply with fire legislations and child safety legislations.

Joiner/installer

Active design
  • I started working for active design in June 2018, this role entailed in manufacturing cabinetry and promotional stands for very well-known brands such as… MAC makeup, Estée Lauder, Moet & Chandon and many others similar
  • Within this role I would have to fit the units and cabinets into promotional sites within places such as..
  • Harrods, Selfridges, Westfield London and many other places across the UK.

Sales advisor/shed fitter

I like sheds
  • I started worked here at the beginning of 2020 and then unfortunately due to covid 19 the owner had to let go of a lot of new staff.

Picker and packer

Amazon
  • I worked at amazon from September 2020 until the end of January 2021 during the covid 19 period as work was very scarce within my trade.

Carpenter/joiner

Bartram Timber
  • I started working for Bartram’s at the beginning of January 2021 and I am currently still working for the company, but I am looking for a change of scenery and to further extend my knowledge within my trade.
